Area road running clubs

Cleveland West Road Runners Club

The Cleveland West Road Runners Club (CWRRC), located in and around Cleveland, Ohio, is currently in its 32nd year. CWRRC accommodates all levels of running, from novice to world class.

Southeast Running Club

SERC was founded in 1975 with the purpose of promoting the enjoyment of distance running to as many people as possible. Over the years, SERC has put on local races, held many social events and provided training opportunities for both novice and advanced runners. Whether you are a competitive runner, seeking to qualify for Boston or training for a half-marathon, marathon or ultramarathon, SERC welcomes your membership and encourages you to join us for our group runs.

Northeast Running Club

In April of 1982, a group of runners got together at Red Lobster in Mentor and decided to form a running club. From that small group of about 25 people we have grown and shrunk to our present day membership of just over 200 runners and walkers. Our abilities run the gamut from the elite to the very back of the back of the packers. We try to be a social group as well as a running group... NERC website

Summit Athletic Running Club

SARC was founded in 1968. We have had a number of note-worthy runners in our club over the years, and we truly are a club for all runners. We have several groups that meet both during the week and on the weekends. The groups range from casual to competitive. Why run alone?

Trail running clubs

Northeast Ohio Trail Club

NEO Trail Club is made up of outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy adventure, running dirt trails, but most of all - having fun! Anyone is welcome to join. Members are of varying ages and abilities, ranging anywhere from trail newbie to ultra marathon veteran.

The club's major event, the Youngstown Ultra Trail Classic 50k takes place each year in September.

Crooked River Trail Runners

The Crooked River Trail Runners meet every Thursday at 6:30pm at various locations in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The mission behind the group is to promote friendship and fitness while enjoying the beauty of nature. The group runs all year round, yes, even the cold Ohio winters, and includes runners from age 10 to 69 years old.

All are welcome to join this group and the trails are always an adventure.
