Lloyd offers personal training and distance coaching by appointment at ACTIV Physical Therapy in Richfield, Ohio. Limited opportunities for correspondence coaching.

Prospective clients pursue long-term running goals by dedicating 5-6 months (or more) toward one or more peak performances at the end of the season. 

The coaching process begins with a runner's questionnaire followed by interview/consultation. Contact Lloyd to begin the process.

Marathon & Ultra training

Typical minimum experience for aspiring to race marathon and beyond:

- Ready to run 40+ miles on 4-6 runs per week; able to run of 12-13 miles without difficulty.
- Able to make the time commitment necessary to increase toward 50 to 60 miles (and beyond) on 5-7 running days per week.

Half marathon training

Typical minimum experience for aspiring to race half marathon or shorter distances:

- Ready to run 30+ miles on 3-6 runs per week; able to run 8+ miles without issue.
- Able to make the time commitment necessary to increase toward 40 to 50 miles (and beyond) on 4-7 running days per week.

ACTIV8 StrongRunner Program

Whether novice or experienced, with or without racing goals, the training journey begins with a period of base-building. 

All training programs begin with 6-8 week period of gradual increases in volume and frequency. The goal at the end of the base phase is to adapt to a higher level of running through a modest but progressive schedule. The idea is to accomplish several weeks of higher volume before moving ahead.
